Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

The short version. This summary is for convenience; the full terms below are what count.

  • Blair is in beta. It works hard, but it can be wrong. Check its work before you rely on it.
  • Blair asks before it acts outside Blair for you (sending, paying, posting, inviting). When you approve, the action is yours.
  • Your content stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run Blair for you.
  • Don't use Blair for anything illegal or harmful, and don't record people without the consent the law requires.

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Blair Apps LLC (“Blair”, “we”, “us”). They cover Blair’s website at blair.app, the web app at ask.blair.app, the Mac and iPhone apps, the browser extension, Blair’s connector for other AI assistants (MCP), and everything else we offer under the Blair name (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Blair on behalf of a company or other organization, you agree for that organization and confirm you have authority to do so; “you” then means both you and the organization.

2. Who can use Blair

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is older, and able to form a binding contract. Blair is not meant for children, and you may not use it if you are under 16 in any circumstance. Business and professional use is welcome; that is what Blair is built for.

3. Accounts and workspaces

  • Your account. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us promptly at info@blair.app if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Workspaces. A team workspace has an owner, and may have admins, members and guests. The owner and admins decide who joins, what roles people have, which apps and agents are available, and the workspace’s settings, and they can see the workspace’s shared content and usage. The owner is responsible for the workspace’s use of the Service, for the people they invite, and, once billing is on, for the workspace’s fees.
  • Guests. Guests (for example clients or contractors) see only what they are invited into. They are bound by these Terms too.
  • Workspace content. Content you add to a shared project belongs to the workspace for these Terms’ purposes, and the workspace’s owner and admins may keep, move or delete it, including after you leave. A project marked private stays with you.

4. Blair is in beta

The Service is in beta. Features may change, pause or be removed, things may break, and we may set or change usage limits. We will try to give notice of changes that matter, but we can’t promise any particular feature will stay available. Please keep your own copies of anything important; you can export your data at any time from Settings.

5. AI output

Blair uses artificial intelligence to read, write, summarize, transcribe, plan and act. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or inappropriate, even when it sounds confident. Meeting transcripts can mishear words or attribute them to the wrong person.

  • You review it. You are responsible for checking output before you rely on it, share it or act on it.
  • Not professional advice. Nothing Blair produces is legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, medical or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation. If your work is regulated (for example audit, tax or legal work), your professional obligations stay yours.
  • Market data. Prices, rates and other market information shown in Blair come from public third-party sources, may be delayed or inaccurate, and are provided for information only. They are not investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
  • Similar output. Other people may receive output similar to yours. Output given to you is not exclusive to you.

6. Agents acting for you

Blair’s agents can take actions on your behalf in the apps you connect: drafting and sending email, answering invites, updating records, posting, booking, and paying with the payment method you set up.

  • Approvals. Actions that reach outside Blair, such as sending, paying, posting, booking or inviting, wait for your approval as a card you can approve or decline. Only actions known to be read-only run without asking. Workspace and personal rules can make this stricter, never looser. If you add your own tool server and mark some of its tools “Always allow”, those tools run without asking; that choice is yours.
  • Your actions. An action you approve, or allow in advance, is taken on your behalf and you are responsible for it as if you had taken it yourself, including any payment, message or commitment it makes. Read the approval card before you approve.
  • Sandboxes. Inside Blair’s own cloud sandboxes (for example when an agent writes and runs code, or uses its cloud computer), agents work without asking for each step. Actions in your connected apps, email and payments still follow the approval rules above.
  • Payments. When an approved errand involves a purchase, the payment is made through your own Stripe Link wallet. The purchase is between you and the merchant; we are not a party to it and are not responsible for the merchant’s goods, services, prices or refunds.
  • Websites. When an agent uses a website for you, it does so as you, under that site’s terms. You are responsible for having the right to use the site that way.

7. Connected services

Blair works with services we don’t run, such as Google, Microsoft 365, Slack, QuickBooks, GitHub, your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, and the websites agents visit. Your use of each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and you must have the right to connect it. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make that affect Blair. If you connect your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription, you are responsible for complying with that provider’s terms, and its usage limits apply.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service, or let anyone use it, to:

  • break any law or regulation, or infringe or misappropriate anyone’s rights, including privacy, publicity and intellectual property rights;
  • send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or deceptive or fraudulent communications, or impersonate anyone;
  • record, transcribe or capture anyone’s voice, image or conversation without the notice or consent the law requires where you and they are;
  • scrape, crawl or collect data from websites in ways that violate their terms or the law;
  • bypass, defeat or work around CAPTCHAs, bot protections, rate limits, paywalls or other access controls, on our Service or anyone else’s;
  • upload or run malware, or probe, scan, attack, overload or interfere with the Service, its sandboxes or any other system;
  • get around our usage limits, security measures or approvals, or access accounts or data you aren’t allowed to;
  • harass, threaten or harm anyone, exploit or endanger minors, or create content that is illegal where you or the recipient are;
  • make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people (for example about credit, employment, housing or insurance) based solely on Blair’s output;
  • resell or sublicense the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except as we agree in writing.

We may remove content or limit access to protect people, the Service or third parties.

9. Your content

“Your content” means what you or your workspace put into Blair or connect to it (messages, files, projects, meeting recordings and transcripts, data from connected apps) and the output Blair produces for you. As between you and us, you own your content, and you are responsible for having the rights to it.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display and adapt your content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you (including sending it to the providers that help us run it, described in our Privacy Policy), and as the law requires. We do not use your content to train AI models. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or as the law requires.

The Service itself, including our software, design and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms.

10. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you or owing you anything. Feedback doesn’t give us any rights to your content.

11. Plans, fees and credits

  • Billing is not switched on yet. During the beta, Blair is free to use. We will tell you before any fee applies to you, and you will not be charged unless you choose a paid plan or buy credits.
  • Plans. We expect to offer Free (bring your own AI subscription), Pro (for one person, with monthly credits) and Firm (for a team workspace, priced per seat, with a shared credit pool; guests are free and are not counted as seats). Prices shown on our website are planned prices and may change before billing opens.
  • Your own AI subscription. Blair runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription first when you connect it. Your subscription is billed by its provider, not by us.
  • Credits. Credits pay for AI and other usage Blair provides when your own subscription isn’t connected or runs out. Usage is measured in credits based on the underlying cost plus a markup. Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and may expire as stated when you get them.
  • Payment. Once billing is on, payments are processed by Stripe. Fees are charged in advance for each billing period and renew automatically until you cancel; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Taxes are extra where they apply.
  • Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Changes. We may change prices or plans with reasonable advance notice. A change takes effect at your next billing period after the notice.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Blair at any time. You can erase your data from Settings (“Delete everything”), and you can ask us to close your account entirely by writing to info@blair.app. We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, if you break these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service or close your account for reasons other than your breach, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data first.

When your account ends, your right to use the Service ends. You can export your data before you delete your account, and for a reasonable time after we end it unless the law or a serious risk prevents it. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) survive.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that output will be accurate, or that content will never be lost.

Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor our suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100.

These limits apply whatever the legal theory, and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law prohibits limiting it.

15. Indemnity

If you use the Service for business, or to the extent the law allows otherwise, you will defend and indemnify Blair Apps LLC and its officers, employees and agents against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, or actions you approved or allowed an agent to take.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be brought only in the state and federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the place you live. Before filing a claim, please contact us at info@blair.app so we can try to resolve it informally.

17. General

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service, unless we sign a separate written agreement with you.
  • If part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn’t waive it.
  • You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
  • Neither of us is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
  • We may send you notices by email or in the app. You can send notices to info@blair.app.
  • If you use the iPhone or Mac app downloaded from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard terms for apps also apply, and Apple has no responsibility for the app or its support.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms; if you don’t agree, stop using the Service and delete your account. The effective date at the top shows when these Terms last changed.
